looking back on 2004.

there are some things that i'm really thankful for this year, some people, actually.

1. my mommy.
i swear she keeps the family sane, i really don't know how she does it.

2. my friends (:
the ones i've made, the ones i've kept.
the bonds just keep getting stronger and stronger, eh.
the lovelies like sarahanne, cheryl, gary, joan, lesley, steph, melly, shirah.
and the new ones- lauren, sharm, ming, and the rest of my class.
especially - my small group. awesome stuff there.

3. my boy
... even though he's 239230938192083 miles away.
and even though he hangs up on me to go sleep.
my boy who force feeds me and who takes care of wasted-me.
my boy who sleeps on the couch, who boils water for me at 4am in the morning.
my boy who buys lipsmackers for me, and complains whenever i buy him things.
my boy who loveeees cookies, probably more than he loves me.
my boy who has a very twisted sense of humour, and whos dressing reflects that.
my boy who prays with and for me and never ever fails to be there for me whenever i
really need it.
and even when i don't, come to think of it.
my boy who is a terribly bad liar, and who is awfully cute when he lies.
my boy who took a whole 8 months or so to tell me he liked me.
my boy who is really bad at suprises, he spoils them himself.
my boy who looks like a puppy everytime he jumps for the ball/frisbee.
my boy who buys skittles to cheer me up, and who demanded his own name tag.
my boy who loves chocolate, with nuts to make it tastier, of course.
my boy who lights up every single time i manage to pull off a suprise.
my boy who loves gummy bears & anything sweet, actually.
my boy who wears his birks all the time, and loves looking like a sloppy bum.
my boy who keeps me company while i'm studying, and chases me to sleep after that.
my boy who tries to have chocolate wars with me, and fails, needless to say.
my boy who returns my bites with kisses, funnily enough.
my boy who treats me like an absolute princess, and whom i love so much right now.
my boy who is going back to the uk tomorrow, sadly.

and of course. i'm awfully grateful to god. who's brought me through the whole year, not without trials and tribulations, of course. i can safely say i've come out stronger and hopefully wiser and more resilient. for giving me the strength to let go of things that just had to go, and the courage to do things i never thought i'd do. god, who brought me before him, crying out in desperation, on my knees... only to make me realize that my life is not in my hands, but his palm. and made me have a superficial, but clear understanding that his ways will always be higher than mine. and my god, who's given me the faith and the strength to just carry on with life after everything that's taken place this year, who's been there for me every step of the way, holding me up and pulling me close. my god, who's blessed me with wonderful friends and family, with things both material and non-material. my god, who i know will never leave me nor forsake me :)

so, my lovelies.
here's to a fulfilling 2005, with god's richest blessings poured out on each and every one of us.
to a year full of studying and playing just as hard
to a year filled with joy and jubilation, and faith.
to a year of friendships and love, to hope.
to a wonderful year ahead, yes!

cheers.
